What is an Open Tender:

The tenders published as an open tender category can be participated by anyone. To search the tender there are various option provided on the eProcurement portal. There are two portals for Central govt organization which are eprocure.gov.in and etenders.gov.in. For example stage govt. an organization that comes under maharastra publishes their tenders on https://mahatenders.gov.in/nicgep/app in. Similarly dept. from UP will publish their tenders on etenders.up.gov.in, etc.

Tender search by the organization: You may search the tenders on eProcurement by the name of the organization. All tender currently published by them can be found under this section.

Tender search by Tenders by Classification: Tenders can be searched by the classification option as well. The provided option on the home page gives you the option to select the categories of the tender to find.

There is two other option which gives you the Advance search option. The first option is given in the Top search menu. The second one is in the right middle of the page.

These two options provide you more flexibility to search your tenders. If you have very basic details about any tender, not the exact information yet the tender can be found through this option.

You may see in the below screen, this provides the option to find the tender even with Key Words or with a tender reference number. The tender can be found by the EMD (earnest Money Deposit) or Tender Fee as well.

 

You can See in the above screen, how many options are provided to search for any tender. It is not mandatory to fill all the fields in this search form. You may fill just one field. Click on search, it will show the matching tender.

The tenders can be searched with the emd and tender fee exemptions as well.
